Veterinary Technician
The Veterinary Technician position requires a basic understanding of the Medical operations of a Veterinary Hospital, which includes both clerical and medical procedures. The knowledge of clerical operations applies to medical record entries, policies, and procedures that detail the medical record and understanding of chart flow. The knowledge of medical operations is the key feature of the position.
The Technician is responsible for maintaining the hospital’s client and patient care standards first and foremost. The position requires skills inpatient nursing care, technical skills, competency in articulating medical treatment philosophies, and knowledge of applied medicine. Competency in laboratory processes, techniques, and results articulation and a firm understanding of the Medical and Technical processes are mandatory.
The position requires the completion of a high school degree or further education, competence in the English language, patience, and a pleasant manner. It also requires a minimum of one year of experience and a basic understanding of the Medical and Technical processes of the Veterinary Hospital.
